Sheriff's Office Investigates attempted Bank Robbery


 On Friday, 01-27-2012 Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 8179 Charlotte Hwy Indian Land, SC regarding an attempted Bank Robbery. At approximately 4pm a white male approximately 40 years of age dressed in a suit, baseball hat, and sunglasses walked into the TD Bank at that location. The suspect produced a note that demanded money. The teller refused to give the suspect money and the suspect fled the store empty handed. The suspect is believed to have fled the scene in a white colored truck with a diamond plate tool box. The suspect was also described as having a bandage or band aids on the right side of his face. No one was injured during the robbery attempt.
Criminal Investigators arrived on scene and began a detailed investigation.
The attached photographs show the suspect on the bank’s surveillance system. The Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect contact law enforcement using the below numbers.
