Suspect Charged with Murder
Lancaster, SC(Tuesday12/31/2013) – On Monday 12/30/2013 at approximately 10:10 PM Deputies were dispatched to 1499 John Everall Rd. in Lancaster for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival Deputies found the victim, Sierra Landry (Age 18 Lancaster) in the yard deceased. Landry appeared to have been shot.
Criminal Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene and began a detailed investigation. Investigators quickly developed Tanner Crolley (W/M Age 18 437 S. Potter Rd. Lancaster) as a suspect and learned that he fled on foot from theresidence. Approximately 3 hours later,deputies located Crolley near the intersection of John Everall Rd. and Hwy 200. He was taken into custody without incident. Crolley was jailed at theLancaster County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
This investigation thus has shown that Crolley and Landry were in a relationship and had been arguing outside the residence on John Everall when Crolley shot Landry.
Sheriff Faile said, “First and foremost, Our thoughts,prayers, and deepest condolences go out to the family of the Ms. Landry. This was a tragic loss of such a younglife. We are satisfied that we were able to resolve the case quickly and bring the suspect into custody before he was able to cause any more harm.”
